Children under 3 do not need a ticket. Tickets are for a set date and time: arrive
early, as security and the lift queue come before your slot. The terraces close in bad weather, and there are no
refunds for haze or cloud.
What the ticket pages don't tell you
Higher is calmer, not clearer.
Level 148 is about 100 m above levels 124 and 125, but from 450 m or 555 m the view is much the same:
the city grid, the coast, the desert edge and, below you, the fountain lake. What the higher tickets really buy
is time and space. Gold and Platinum have priority lanes at security and the lifts, a lounge, and far
fewer people at the glass.
The classic ticket is a timed entry, not a skip-the-line pass. At sunset, on weekends and in the winter
season, guests with levels 124 and 125 can queue for an hour or more before the lift, and again on the way
down. The fix is either a quieter hour (morning or late evening) or a Gold ticket for sunset. And in summer, heat
and haze soften the view whichever floor you choose.

Every ticket starts at the same door. Allow about an hour and a half inside, and more at sunset,
when the queues are longest.

You do not enter the tower from the street. Every observation ticket starts inside Dubai Mall: go down to
the lower ground floor and follow the At the Top signs to the entrance near the Burj Khalifa lifts. The mall is
huge and the entrance is easy to miss, so allow 15 extra minutes. From the Metro, the Metro Link Bridge brings
you into the mall; by taxi, ask for the Fashion Avenue entrance. Tours with hotel pickup drop you at the mall
and point you to the same door.
The views are amazing. Definitely need the sky level 124, 125 and 148 skip the queues ticket. The views from 148 are incredible. It also gives fast track to the lifts so not having to wait in really long lines.

The Burj Khalifa rises 828 m over Downtown Dubai, with 163 floors above ground, the tallest
building in the world since it opened on 4 January 2010. Emaar Properties built it and still owns it. Most of
it is homes, offices and a hotel; visitors get four decks near the top, reached from a door in the lower ground
floor of Dubai Mall.
The three ticket levels
The official site now sells three tiers. Silver is the classic At the Top visit: levels 124 and 125,
at 452 m and 456 m, with an open-air terrace on 124, digital telescopes and the level 125 deck with its Arabic
mashrabiya details. Gold, still sold on GetYourGuide as SKY, adds level 148 at 555 m, with priority
lanes, a short welcome from a guest ambassador and the SKY lounge, where Arabic coffee and sweets are served.
You get up to 30 minutes on 148, then continue down to 125 and 124. Platinum is The Lounge on levels 152,
153 and 154, at 585 m, with canapés and drinks and priority access at every level. Gold costs roughly twice
Silver, and Platinum roughly twice Gold.
The upper tiers trade the crowd at the glass for a seat and a slower pace.
The queue, honestly
A Silver ticket is timed, but it is not a skip-the-line pass. You still go through security, the displays on
how the tower was built and the lift queue, and at sunset, on weekends and in the busy winter season, reviewers
describe waits of an hour or more, sometimes again on the way down. Gold and Platinum guests use separate
priority lanes. If you are on a budget, book Silver for the morning or late evening; if you want sunset, Gold is
the ticket that makes it relaxed.
The honest small print: the view from 148 is not much wider than the view from 124, and on
a hazy summer afternoon neither is at its best. There are no refunds for haze or cloud, so if the forecast is
poor and you booked a flexible ticket, move your date. The tickets on this site all refund in full if you cancel
up to 24 hours ahead.
When the view is best
The clearest air comes in the morning, especially from November to March. From June to September, heat and
humidity bring a haze that softens the horizon, although the city below stays sharp. Sunset is the most popular
time: the official advice is to enter about two hours before, to be on the deck when the light turns gold and
the city lights come on. Stay on and you can watch the Dubai Fountain shows from above, every 30 minutes from
6 pm to 11 pm.

Dress, bags and the rules
The dress code is smart casual; in Dubai malls it is appreciated if shoulders and knees are covered. Bring a
small handbag only: backpacks, strollers and large bags go to the luggage room, and outside food and drink stay
out. Personal photos are welcome, professional shoots are not. The whole visit is wheelchair accessible, and
children under 3 do not need a ticket.
Around the tower
The tower is only half the visit. Below it, the Dubai Fountain plays on Burj Lake, and you can watch from the
promenade without a ticket, or from an abra or the boardwalk on the lake. Burj Park, Souk Al Bahar and the huge
Dubai Aquarium tank inside the mall are all a few minutes' walk away. Sky Views, a separate tower next door, is
the one viewpoint with the Burj Khalifa itself in the picture.

Can tourists go inside the Burj Khalifa?
Yes. With an At the Top ticket you ride the lift from the lower ground floor of Dubai Mall to the observation decks: levels 124 and 125, level 148, or The Lounge on levels 152 to 154. How much does it cost to visit the Burj Khalifa?
It depends on how high you go. Levels 124 and 125 (Silver) are the entry ticket; level 148 (Gold, sold as SKY) costs about twice as much; The Lounge (Platinum) is the most expensive tier. Not at the moment. The Armani Hotel Dubai on the lower floors closed for renovation in April 2026 and is expected to reopen in 2027. There has never been a hotel room at the top: the hotel sits low in the tower, and the upper floors are private apartments and offices.
